Privacy Policy

Overview

HookVault is a private creator vault for saving and searching hooks, scripts, captions, content ideas, platform labels, draft/version notes, uploaded images, and uploaded videos. This policy explains what HookVault collects and how it is used.

Information We Collect

HookVault collects the information needed to provide the app:

• Email address for account creation, login, password reset, and account support.
• User ID and account metadata used to keep each user's vault separate.
• User-created vault content such as hooks, scripts/body text, captions, titles, ideas, platform labels, custom platform labels, and part/version labels.
• Uploaded user content such as images, videos, media notes, file names, file types, file sizes, and related media metadata.
• Entry metadata such as created, updated, trashed, or deleted timestamps.
• Purchase and entitlement records needed to unlock paid storage or media features, such as App Store product identifiers, transaction identifiers, expiration dates, and account entitlement status.

How We Use Information

We use this information to let you sign in, save entries, upload media you choose, search your private vault, edit entries, move entries to Trash, restore entries, back up your vault, manage paid entitlements, and provide support.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell user data.
• We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
• We do not track users across apps and websites owned by other companies.
• We do not request location, contacts, microphone, or camera access.
• We do not access images or videos unless you choose files to upload into your private vault.

Service Providers

HookVault uses Supabase for authentication, private database storage, and private media storage. Supabase processes data as a backend service provider so the app can function. In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

Backups And Restore

Backup export is user-initiated and downloads a JSON file to the user's device. Restore reads a user-selected JSON file and imports entries after confirmation. Exported backups include text and metadata. Uploaded media files remain in HookVault cloud storage unless deleted through the app or account deletion process.

Data Deletion

To request account or data deletion, email support@hookvault.com, use the deletion option in the app, or visit Account Deletion. Deletion covers saved entries and uploaded media associated with the account, subject to any records we must retain for legal, security, or financial reasons.

Beta Safety Note

During beta, please do not save sensitive personal, financial, legal, medical, or confidential client information.

Subscriptions

Paid plans and storage add-ons are optional App Store purchases. Apple handles payment, billing, cancellation, and refund requests. HookVault receives purchase information needed to unlock the correct plan or storage entitlement.
